Potassium carbonate is a kind of inorganic substance, white crystalline powder, density 2.428g/cm3, melting point 891℃. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline, insoluble in ethanol, acetone and ether. 1. Potassium carbonate can be used to produce optical glass, which can improve the transparency, strength and refractive coefficient of glass.
