Methylbenzene, un compost orgànic, is a colorless, volatile liquid with a distinctive aroma. It has strong refraction. It is miscible with ethanol, ether, acetona, chloroform, carbon disulfide and glacial acetic acid, and very slightly soluble in water. Flammable, vapor can form an explosive mixture with air, and the mixture can explode when the volume concentration is in a low range. Low toxicity, median lethal dose (rats, orally) 5000mg/kg. High concentrations of gas are anesthetic and irritating.

Aplicació
