Calcium chloride is a chemical consisting of chlorine and calcium with the formula CaCl2, slightly bitter. It is a typical ionic halide, white, hard fragments or particles at room temperature. Common applications include brine for refrigeration equipment, road deicing agents and desiccant.

1. Antifreeze: used in the process of road or house construction (construction industry) to protect the road surface or buildings.
2. Desiccant: Because calcium chloride reacts with water to produce hydrated calcium chloride, it has a strong binding force, so it has a good drying effect.
3. Refrigerant: The principle that calcium chloride can be used to refrigerate is an important refrigerant for freezers and ice makers.
4. Dehydrating agent: In the production of alcohol, ester, ether and acrylic resin, calcium chloride powder is used as a dehydrating agent.
5. Food industry: Calcium chloride is used as a flocculant for soybean products, and calcium chloride solution is used as a seaweed and sodium industry.
6. When it snows: It is used for snow and deicing of roads, highways, parking lots and docks.
