Methyl methacrylate is an organic compound, also known as MMA, referred to as methyl ester. Is an important chemical raw material, is the production of transparent plastic polymethyl methacrylate (Plexiglass, PMMA) monomer. Flammable, with strong irritating odor, moderate toxicity, reproductive toxicity and teratogenic effects, should avoid long-term exposure.

Εφαρμογή

1. Polyformalin methyl acrylate (PMMA) : methyl methacrylate is an important raw material for preparing polyformalin methyl acrylate (also known as plexiglass or acrylic). PMMA has high transparency, good weather resistance and strength, and is widely used in construction, automotive, electronic products, glasses, lamps and other fields of products and decorative materials.

2. Paints and coatings: chemical methyl methacrylate can be used as an ingredient in paints and coatings. It can provide good paint rheology and weather resistance, so that the coating has good luster, aging resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.

3. Special plastics and resins: formaldehyde methyl acrylate can be used to prepare various special plastics and resins. It can be copolymerized with other monomers to form high-performance materials with specific properties, such as high temperature resistant plastics, crash-resistant materials and flame retardant materials.

4. Medical devices and dental materials: Because of its good biocompatibility and transparency, methyl formalacrylate is often used in the preparation of medical devices, artificial organs and dental materials.
