Méthanol, also known as hydroxyl methane, est un composé organique, is the simplest structure of saturated mono alcohol, its structure is simple CH3OH, can highlight the hydroxyl group of methanol. Because it was first found in retort wood, it is also called “alcool de bois” ou “wood essence”. The lowest dose of oral poisoning in humans is about 100mg/kg body weight, and oral ingestion can be fatal by 0.3 ~ 1g/kg. It is used in the manufacture of formaldehyde and pesticides, and is used as an extractant of organic matter and a denaturant of alcohol.

Application
