Trimethyl orthoacetate, also known as 1,1, 1-trimethoxy-ethane, est un composé organique, colorless transparent liquid, insoluble dans l'eau, and can be miscible with ethanol, éther, toluene, ethyl acetate, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents, mainly used as an important intermediate for the synthesis of methyl dichlorothrin.
