1. Water treatment: PAM is widely used in the field of water treatment as a flocculant and settler. It can improve water quality, promote the precipitation of suspended solids and remove organic pollutants.

2. Petroleum industry: PAM plays an important role in the oil extraction process. It can be used as a thickener and shear stabilizer to improve oil recovery efficiency during water injection and displacement.

3. Pertanian: In agriculture, chemical polyacrylamide can be used as a soil amendment and water retention agent. It can improve soil structure, increase soil water retention, and reduce the loss of pesticides and fertilizers.
