디-터트-부틸 퍼옥사이드
- It is a white to pale yellow, waxy solid with a faint ethereal odor. Melting point is around 42°C.
- Being an organic peroxide, it is highly reactive and can decompose thermally or upon exposure to heat, friction or shock. This makes it a good initiator for radical polymerizations.
- It undergoes homolytic cleavage to generate two tert-butoxyl radicals when heated. These radicals can initiate polymerization reactions.

- Colorless to pale yellow liquid with camphor-like odor.
- Decomposes at room temperature releasing tert-butoxy radicals that initiate reactions.

- More stable than simpler hydroperoxides but still requires cool storage (<20℃).

- Also known as bis(decanoyl) peroxide or BDP.
- Waxy solid with a melting point of 45-50°C.
- Contains two lauric acid (decanoic acid) groups esterified to the peroxide unit (-씨(영형)O-O-OC(영형)-).
- More thermally stable than other dialkyl peroxides due to stabilizing effect of ester groups.
- Decomposes at temperatures above 70-80°C to generate lauric acid and alkoxy radicals.
