Trimethyl -orthoacetaat, ook bekend als 1,1, 1-trimethoxy-ethane, is een organische verbinding, kleurloze transparante vloeistof, onoplosbaar in water, and can be miscible with ethanol, ether, toluene, ethylacetaat, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents, mainly used as an important intermediate for the synthesis of methyl dichlorothrin.
