Propan-1-ol, also known as 1-propanol, este un compus organic. At room temperature and pressure, n-propanol is a clear, colorless liquid with a strong musty taste similar to rubbing alcohol, and can be dissolved in water, ethanol and ether. Propionaldehyde is generally synthesized from ethylene by carbonyl group and then reduced.
