Trimethyl orthoacetate, also known as 1,1, 1-trimethoxy-ethane, organik bir bileşiktir, renksiz şeffaf sıvı, suda çözünmez, and can be miscible with ethanol, eter, toluen, etil asetat, karbon tetraklorür ve diğer organik çözücüler, mainly used as an important intermediate for the synthesis of methyl dichlorothrin.
