Application

1. Organic synthesis: ACN is widely used as a solvent in organic synthesis reactions. It can dissolve many organic substances and provide a suitable reaction environment. Acetonitrile has good solubility and stability for many organic chemical reactions, and can be used as one of the commonly used solvents.

2. Chromatographic analysis: Acetonitrile is one of the commonly used mobile phase solvents in liquid chromatographic analysis. It has good solubility, low viscosity and high polarity, and is suitable for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) mobile phase.

3. Electrochemistry: Acetonitrile is widely used in the field of electrochemistry. It is a kind of electrolyte solvent for electrochemical reaction, which can provide ion transport medium.

4. Extractant: Acetonitrile can also be used as an extractant for chemicals. It can extract some substances, such as metal ions, organic compounds, etc., for separation and purification.

In addition to the above applications, acetonitrile is also used in the preparation of organic compounds and synthetic drug intermediates, the production of certain chemical reagents, and the synthesis of catalysts.
