Product Detail
Phosphorus trichloride can form hydrochloric acid fog in the air. It can stimulate and corrode skin and mucous membrane. Inhaling a large amount of vapor in a short period of time can cause upper respiratory tract irritation, laryngitis, bronchitis, and in severe cases, laryngeal edema can cause suffocation, pneumonia or pulmonary edema. Skin and eye contact may cause irritation or burns. Severe eye burns can cause blindness. Chronic effects: Prolonged exposure to low concentrations can cause eye and respiratory irritation. Can cause phosphorus toxic oral disease.
Product Parameter
Application
1. Organic synthesis: Phosphorus trichloride is a commonly used organic synthesis reagent, often used in esterification reaction, etherification reaction, substitution reaction and a series of organic synthesis reactions. It can react with alcohols, acids, amines and other compounds to produce corresponding organic compounds such as ethers and acyl chloride.
2. Chemical catalyst: PCl3 can be used as a catalyst to participate in some chemical reactions. For example, it can catalyze the esterification of alcohol with acid anhydride, prompting the reaction rate to increase.
3. Manufacturing inorganic chemicals: Phosphorus trichloride is one of the important raw materials for many inorganic chemicals. For example, chemical phosphorus trichloride can be used to manufacture phosphoric acid, chlorinated phosphoric acid ester, chlorinated trisulfonate phosphate, etc.
4. Additives and additives: PCl3 can be used as an additive or additive for some chemical reactions to change the rate and direction of the reaction. It is also used in the production of certain polymers and synthetic fibers.
5. Laboratory applications: Phosphorus trichloride is also commonly used in some experimental operations in chemistry laboratories, such as for the removal of hydroxyl or phosphate groups from organic compounds, or as an intermediate for some chemical reagents.
