Application

2-amino-4, 6-dimethoxy-pyrimidine is an important compound with a wide range of applications. It is mainly used as a pesticide intermediate for the synthesis of sulfonylurea pesticides, such as benzylsulfuron, nicosulfuron, cyclopropylsulfuron, ethoxysulfuron, sulfone sulfuron, acylsulfuron, rimesulfuron, chlorpyrisulfuron, tetraazolsulfuron, pyrisulfuron, etc.

In addition, it can also be used to synthesize sulfonamide antibiotics, such as sulfadiazine, salicylate azosulfadiazine and sulfanifurazine. At the same time, it is also an intermediate of the sulfonylurea herbicide sulfuron, which is used for the synthesis of thiophene sulfonylurea herbicides and the preparation of sulfadimethylpyridine.
