DBU phenol salt is an organic base salt, in which DBU (1, 8-Diazabicyclo [5.4.0]undec-7-ene) is a strong base, and phenol is a commonly used organic acid. DBU phenol salts are formed by the reaction of DBU and phenol. DBU phenol salts have many applications in organic synthesis. It can be used as a catalyst for the ester dehydration reaction, which converts the ester to ether or acid and generates the corresponding DBU phenol salt. Application

1. DBU phenol salt is used as a catalyst for the production of polyurethane and other chemical products, such as ammonia and dichloroethane in its presence to react to piperazine, is an excellent dehydrating agent, epoxy resin hardener, anti-rust agent, and can also prepare advanced corrosion inhibitors. At present, it is widely used in the production of semi-synthetic antibiotics of cephalosporin. It is also used in organic synthesis reactions and semi-synthetic antimicrobials.

2. Can be used for dehydrogenation halogenation reaction to form olefin amidine; Esterification of carboxylic acid with alkyl halide; Alkylation and acylation of active methylene compounds.
