Application

1. Solvent: n-hexane is a non-polar solvent with good solubility and fluidity. It can dissolve many lipids, oils, adhesives, resins and rubber and other organic matter. Therefore, n-hexane is often used as a solvent in paints, inks, glues, rubber products and tapes.

2. Chemical synthesis: n-hexane is a common reaction solvent and intermediate in organic synthesis. It can be used as a solvent in hydrogenation, alkylation and extraction reactions. In addition, it can also be used as a synthetic raw material of basic chemicals for the preparation of other compounds, such as alcohols, ketones, aldehydes and acids.
